Tina’s Tea Room – JASNA Jane Austen’s Birthday Tea. Carmel, IN. December 15, 2019. *****

It’s the second Jane Austen Birthday Tea I’ve been able to attend with the Jane Austen Society of North America – Indy region. It was so delightful! Wonderful comrades, delicious tea and treats.

Menu:

5 Savories: Salmon Roulade (divine), Coronation Chicken Salad, Cucumber with Dill, Cheddar & Chutney (fabulous!), Turkey & Cranberry Sandwiches.

2 Scones: Orange Sultana & Almond Scones

4 Sweets: Chocolate & Berry Cake, Minced Pie, Gingerbread Man and Rose Jelly (had a bit of alcohol flavor)

This was a champagne tea, so after toasting to JA’s birthday, I passed along my flute to someone who drank alcohol.

The tea I drank non-stop was a lovely Earl-Grey called Buckingham Palace Garden Party. Just fantastic!

Thank you to the wonderful staff who kept our tea cups filled and had such lovely service!
